New Name

Improvement Mod is now being called Age of Mythology: Expanded, since there was more expansion than a Improvement.

The reason why here:
Age of Mythology: Expanded is a rename/successor to AoM Improvement Mod, differences? except the name has been changed to leave the negativity and controversy of the old name.

Also added the gallery and the information tab.

Fresh Start

Age of Mythology: Gold Edition is the recommended for the Improvement Mod as it has The Titans expansion, and has the newest updates. Improvement Mod is only available for The Titans expansion.

There is the Extended Edition version, but due to Mod Workshop issues, .dcl and .mp3 files do not work and general lag, this is not suggested to be used.

Once the game is installed, download the mod:

The Titans!

Standard

After that you need to extract the files (under the main folder) to your Age of Mythology directory (NOT "My Games" Folder!) then play when finished.

Extended Edition

Extract the files to your Age of Mythology/mods/ directory (which is under steam/steamapps/ etc)

There! Your finished.
